Installing and Configuring a New Connection (Software)

[DVR FLEX4/8/16]

[This note applies to all ICR Flex series DVRs]

Note: In the picture, the number represents the step number in the walkthrough.

Step 1: Begin by directing your internet browser (ex. Internet Explorer) to the ICRealtime website at http://www.icrealtime.com. When finished loading, click on support at the top of the page. When the support page gets loaded, check half way down the page for “Downloads (DVR FLEX)” and click on the link “Remote Client Software”.

Step 2: Once you downloaded the client software, run the executable and follow the easy on screen instructions to complete the install.

Step 3: Navigate to your desktop after installation and look for a new icon named “Disk Record System of Multi-Channels”. Double click it to start the software.

Step 4: Once the software is loaded, click on the “Connect” button towards the bottom left hand side of the software. Make sure “Network Login” is selected and press “OK”. A new menu should come up that’s titled “Login Recorder”. To add a new entry for you’re DVR, select “Add”. Input all information that it asks for including a name for the entry, IP address of the DVR (or public IP address your connecting in to), port number and if you want certain channels to come up when you first login.

Step 5: Once all your information is entered correctly, press the “OK” button to enter it in to the software. Now highlight the new entry from the “Login Recorder” field and press “Login”. This will ask you for a user and password which if you haven’t already setup users the default administrative user is admin and the password is admin (Note: everything on the system is case sensitive)

Step 6: If you don’t get an error message than you should be connected in to your DVR. If an error does come up, make sure all your information that you input previously is correct (double check it) and make changes if necessary.
